Waiting In The Sky

Western Australia is an incredibly vast state. The regions within the state are larger than most countries. Although a large portion of the state is made up of flat harsh deserts, there are incredible landscape scattered across it. From incredible waterfalls in the Kimberley, plunging canyons in the Pilbara, forests and coastal cliffs in the south-west, it really has a lot to offer. Because of this, there is still so much to discover that hasn’t been photographed. On display here is a location that I had never seen professionally photographed before. A strange landscape that appears from an otherwise flat landscape. Although vastly different to the iconic Pinnacles in appearance, it was a location I knew I wanted to photograph after the sun had set to add to the otherworldly feel of these interesting rock formations. It also helps that the shape of this formation reminded me of a UFO!
