Glory

I had been wanting to visit Black Point in Western Australia’s South West for a number of years.
I had explored and camped in a number of other parts of Dentrecasteaux National Park before, however I had yet to visit Black Point.

I was only there for a night. So my opportunities on this particular trip were limited. The weather was as to be expected from the region. Windy, raining and cold.
Not what most people consider great camping weather, but I love it. It means that there may be some interesting conditions to photograph. That isn’t always the case… but there is a chance….
I got very lucky in this instance.
Right at sunset the sky erupted for a brief few minutes and due to the rain there was a rainbow too. This, after all these years, is the first time I have been fortunate enough to photograph a rainbow.
