Gifted Moment

One of the most perfect moments I have ever witnessed in nature.

A stunning waterfall in the Fiordlands wilderness of New Zealand’s south island.

I climbed up a steep, muddy, fern covered gorge wall and nestled myself around a tree. I had very little room to move with a steep drop immediately to my left.
I had a feeling the sun would briefly pass by and just reach in over the top of the valley. When it did this perfect scene unfolded. The light passing through the mist from the waterfall created stunning light beams.
This only lasted a few minutes before the scene fell into the shadows again.

Truly a special moment.
