Fractured

Milford Sound is a spectacular part of New Zealand’s Fiordland’s. A place I will surely revisit. It has dramatic landscapes and equally dramatic weather. One evening during my stay, I experienced a 6.8 magnitude earthquake… a scary, yet humbling experience. Here, the powerful Sterling Falls creating beautiful textures in the water of Milford Sound. This was a photograph I only had one shot at. The moment I pointed the camera at the waterfall it became drenched from the spray. This photograph was made with a very wide angle lens allowing me to be only metres away from the base of the falls.
